Once you have set up an event, Symphony may restrict whether you can change the date in the basic details.
This is in part so you don't change the date of your event without letting your delegates know.
To change the date of your event go to Event Setup > Basic Details
If Symphony will not let you do this, consider the following options:
1) Keep the original date, but change the date on your website, booking form, names of ticket types and emails to delegates.
This will only be a problem if your booking form needs to be open past the original date of your event.
2) Delete your bookings and manually add these once the event date has been changed. We recommend you pull off an attendee report and booking report before you do this. Not recommended if you have a lot of paid bookings.
3) Copy your event with the new date
On the dashboard, hover over the name of your event and click copy this event.
Copy the event with dates and select the new date. Your sessions and booking forms will copy over.
If you need to keep bookings on the existing event, make sure you set a low capacity for your new event.
The URL for your booking form or website will have changed. Rename your old booking form to something new and give your new booking form the original URL if you think this could be a problem.
If you have any questions about this, please contact the helpdesk and we will talk you through your options.
